Our lifestyle change programs aimed at preventing and managing chronic disease are another way the Shasta Family YMCA is helping people live their healthiest and fullest lives.  The Shasta Family YMCA offers these programs in response to critical needs in the community.  Our evidence-based programs bridge the gap between clinical care and health promotion/disease prevention by providing programming in small group, supportive environments.  Our programs help individuals build a healthy spirit, mind and body, which makes for a healthier community for us all. 






Stress is the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure. Stress is our body’s response to pressure. It is often triggered when we experience something new or unexpected, when we feel a threat, or when we feel we have little control over a situation.
